Lost in Translation Data and Communications Solutions

Lost in Translation Data and Communications Solutions, LLC was formed in 2024 to leverage cross-disciplinary thinking—spanning psychology, public health, data science, and more—to demonstrate and scale impact for nonprofit organizations and academic researchers.

Collectively, the team of associates and consultants at Lost in Translation has decades of combined experience in community engagement, strategic planning, organizational development, communications, and data. Our consultants bring expertise in key areas such as cross-sector collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and effective communication strategies. As individuals, we have worked extensively with municipal agencies, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations, providing technical assistance and capacity building to a diverse range of stakeholders. Together, we have supported organizations in crafting strategic frameworks, developing impactful partnerships, and building systems to evaluate and communicate their success.

Andrew Belfiglio, Principal

Clarity, efficiency, and justice are Andrew's guiding forces. He formed Lost in Translation to help nonprofits and researchers demonstrate and scale their impact, noticing there was often a gap between these groups and the audiences who could benefit from (or support) their work. With training in psychology, public health, and data science, Andrew is a self-taught designer who seeks first to understand, then to improve.

"It was fantastic to work with Andrew. He added visual details which focused the images so that the audience was able to stay right on target ..."

De-cluttered. Optimized. Intentional.

These are guiding principles to Andrew's work and life, which are carried out in the services and products that are provided through Lost in Translation. In today's world, too much noise and competition for attention can make important messages disappear into the void. Lost in Translation solves that.
